From Buffalo — NYS Thruway (I-90)

  • Take Exit 30 (Herkimer).
  • Turn left after the toll booth onto Route 28 South.
  • Take Route 28 South into Cooperstown.
  • Turn right at the STOP sign (“T” intersection) in Cooperstown.
  • Stay on Route 28 South for approximately 4 miles (there will be a McDonald’s, shopping center and traffic light).
  • Continue for approximately 1/2 mile.
  • Turn right onto Seminary Road.
  • Go 1.5 miles on Seminary Road to The Highlands at Cooperstown.

From Albany or Binghamton

From Albany: Take I-90 West to Exit 25A, then I-88 West.

From Binghamton: Take I-88 East.

  • Take Exit 17 off I-88.
  • Take Route 28 North and go approximately 12 1/2 miles.
  • Turn left onto Seminary Road (just past Cooperstown Dreams Park and the Barnyard Swing).
  • Go 1.5 miles on Seminary Road to The Highlands at Cooperstown.
